Conference on Interfaith Harmony and Tolerance was held on 3rd February 2019 at Bahria Auditorium Karachi by the Pakistan Peace Club where Chairman, Global Peace Confederation was invited as the guest speaker to speak upon how extremism has affected the international image of Pakistan and how the people from diverse religious backgrounds may co-exist. Enlightening the audience upon these subjects he added that every religion which leads to the uniformity of God possesses in itself the message of peace… Particularly Islam, the state religion of Pakistan, teaches its followers tolerance and equal treatment with the followers of every other religion. As Allah clearly says in Quran not to abuse the religion of others and when at war against the oppressor, do not exceed the limits of humanity and never hurt the sentiments of another human being with your speech. He further said that in order to improve the image of Pakistan worldwide, we must convey the true message of Islam and hold onto our patience, even if we face hostility and always treat others the better way. Because when we step outside Pakistan, we are not only representing ourselves but we are representing our nation – that’s what we must remind ourselves on such occasion…
